Overview
SALTAIRE is a high-end sweets house built around a simple tension: old-world confectionery discipline filtered through the looseness and cultural instinct of a Brooklyn artist. The brand needed to feel elevated without becoming precious, stylish without feeling inaccessible, and strange without becoming novelty.
We started with the name and built outward: a visual identity, product language, packaging system, retail environment, photography direction, ingredient storytelling, lifestyle imagery, and a merchandise capsule. The result is a sweets brand that feels less like a bakery and more like a complete cultural object.
The founding idea was not to make sweets look cute. It was to make them feel important: a cookie treated like a portrait, a madeleine behaving like a fashion model, and a receipt, wrapper, ribbon, or crumb becoming part of the identity system.
